Before you take your first step, sign these five promises: they are how the Camino arrives in Santiago as alive as it arrives in Sarria.<\/p>\n<div class=\"compromiso-promesas\">\n<ol>\n<li><strong>I will not leave a single piece of litter on the Cami\u00f1o.<\/strong> What I carry in my pack, I carry out with me.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I will respect the silence before dawn.<\/strong> I leave at 6. People sleep here too: pack in hand, not dragged.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I will greet people with a \u00abBo cami\u00f1o\u00bb<\/strong> \u2014 and learn to say thank you: <em>grazas<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I will not book more than I need.<\/strong> The Cami\u00f1o belongs to everyone: I leave a bed for those who walk behind me.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I will leave Sarria better than I found it.<\/strong> And to whoever reads this: <em>ultreia<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"km0-box\"><p class=\"km0-num\">7<\/p><p class=\"km0-txt\">pilgrims have already signed <strong>the Pilgrim's Pledge<\/strong>.
